When I first heard about green smoothies, I was completely turned off by the thought of spinach or kale in my fruit smoothie! Everywhere I read about them, people said you can’t taste the greens, but I was still skeptical. One day post-workout, I decided to be brave and go for it. I ended up loving it! This is the recipe I used then, and is still my favorite to this day!
1 ripe banana
1/3 cup crushed ice
1/2 scoop vanilla whey protein powder
1/2 cup kale
1 tsp almond butter
1/2 cup vanilla almond milk (unsweetened)
1/2 cup water
Combine all ingredients in a blender and voila!
